Maybe that sounds like a big assignment to you…but it is happening everyday. So, why shouldn’t it happen with your video marketing strategies? Here are 5 steps to assure that it will happen to you. Video Marketing Strategies Part 1: Rack Your Brain You and your associates have a great idea. You are going to create and implement a social marketing plan that will sweep the internet and drive more traffic to your website or blog. It’s going to increase your exposure, your credibility, and your sales… whatever your ultimate goal is. Therefore, it is worth maximum effort to come up with an idea that’s a knockout. The term for it is brainstorming. Sit down and write down every idea that pops into your head for this compelling video you are going to mastermind. Then narrow it down to a few… you know the drill. Come up with a unique idea for your social marketing plan. But don’t throw away those notes. Some of those other ideas might be great for your next video! Video Marketing Strategies Part 2: A Killer Title Undoubtedly you have spent a lot of time and effort during your SEO campaign coming up with effective keywords. Use them as part of your title and other captions in your video so they catch the eye of search engines. Just remember as one of your social marketing strategies to make your title compelling and catchy. Viewers just have to watch your video because of the originality and persuasiveness of its title. Go ahead… kill ‘em with the title. Video Marketing Strategies Part 3: Expose Yourself No, don’t take your clothes off ...please. Rather, reveal a little bit of who you are in your social marketing plan. Your video should illuminate the character of its creator - you. If you have a warped sense of humor reveal it. If you are a studious, introspective person make light of it. If life is all fun and games to you show how that is a shortcoming. Take the wraps off your character. Be self-deprecating. No matter how introverted you are you can be pretty comical. Your video marketing plan will be enhanced by your silliness. Video Marketing Strategies Part 4: Short is Sweet As you are creating your video marketing plan you will soon realize that it is entirely possible to go on and on with your video. What seemed so challenging at first has become quite entertaining. You are actually enjoying creating your video and it seems to just keep going and going. Well, you aren’t creating a commercial for batteries… even those last less than a minute! Remember, a good video that has the potential of going viral usually lasts just one to two minutes. So, reel yourself back in. Make it short and sweet… and on point. Be your own best critic. Your video marketing plan will be glad you did. Video Marketing Strategies Part 5: The End Isn't the End That’s right… the end is really just the beginning in your social marketing plan. Because, at the close of your video, you will place your credits. There you will reveal your URL or other information enabling the viewer to contact you. Perhaps a blog where you can have ongoing conversations with those who appreciated your video’s humor or moral or whatever you challenged them with. That’s the crux of your social marketing strategies… to come full circle. You put forth a great effort with your video. Now it’s time to reap the benefits of new contacts and new friends and maybe even new business if that’s what you seek. Don’t forget. End it right on target… and the target is you. Creating video as part of your social marketing plan is challenging, rewarding, and fun. It’s a venue for you to express yourself and to reap the benefits of new associations.
